| Reverse description | The reverse is printed in deep red and olive-green tones and divided into three pictorial vignettes: the upper left shows Burg Nimmersatt, a ruined hilltop fortress amid dense forest with a wanderer and a dog in the foreground; the upper right shows the moated Wasserburg Kauder reflected in water under a streaked red sky; and the lower register presents two historical military procession scenes in silhouette — cavalry and foot soldiers — flanking a central shield cartouche bearing the numeral 75. The artist's name Bruno Handke appears between the two upper vignettes, and the design registration number D.R.G.M. 795679 is printed at the lower right margin. |

Bolkenhain — now Bolków, in Lower Silesia — was a small Silesian market town with no particular monetary significance, which makes the commissioning of Bruno Handke as designer something of a local ambition. Carl Flemming & Wiskott in Glogau printed enormous quantities of Notgeld for Silesian municipalities during the 1922 inflationary surge, working through dozens of commissions in rapid succession.
The Stadtsparkasse, not the municipal government, was the issuing authority here — a distinction that mattered legally, as savings institutions operated under different redemption obligations than civic Notgeld issuers.
