| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a large central vignette of a panoramic townscape of Bolkenhain in Silesia, with the hilltop castle ruins rising above the town and church spires visible below, rendered in a detailed woodcut-style print in olive-green and gold tones. Flanking the central vignette are two sculpted figures in niched columns — a robed male figure to the left and a crowned female figure to the right — with decorative floral ornamental panels at the lower corners. The lower portion carries the town coat of arms at center, with the denomination text and issuer inscription in Gothic script on either side, and the bold legend BOLKENHAIN IN SCHLESIEN printed in yellow-gold letterpress across the lower central band. |
