The 75 Pfennig denomination is a peculiar one, rarely seen outside German notgeld issues, and reflects the practical arithmetic of local wages and tram fares rather than any conventional monetary logic.
Fr. Wilh. Ruhfus in Dortmund was a prolific notgeld printer, handling municipal contracts across Westphalia. Designer H. Niedieck's name appears on a number of Ruhfus-printed pieces from this period — likely a staff designer rather than an independent commission.
