| Obverse description | Turquoise ground framed by a decorative wreath of fir branches and red berries enclosing a central white cartouche with the denomination numeral '75' in ornate Gothic script at upper left. To the right, the Thuringian coat of arms — a red and white striped lion rampant on a blue shield — is accompanied by a caption identifying it as the Thüringer Wappen on the tower of the Leuchtenburg. A small vignette of the Leuchtenburg castle above the Saale valley appears at the lower centre of the cartouche, below the principal text inscriptions. |
