Reverse description The reverse presents a bold expressionist vignette of the port of Bremerhaven, with a large ocean liner docked at the quayside rendered in black letterpress against a warm yellow-ochre lined underprint; harbour cranes, masts, and a distant city skyline are visible in the background, with stacked cargo bales and a red flag in the foreground. The denomination '75 PFENNIG' is printed vertically along both the left and right margins in large bold type, with the numeral '75' repeated above and below it. Along the lower margin, the inscription 'Frühjahr 1923 BREMEN Frühjahr 1923' is set in a combination of italic and bold letterpress type.

Weser-Gilde was a Bremen merchants' and civic association, and this note belongs to the wave of privately issued Notgeld that flooded Germany during the hyperinflationary crisis of 1923. The "Deutsche Amerika-Woche" — German-America Week — was a promotional cultural event designed to celebrate ties between Germany and the German-American community abroad, partly as a goodwill effort during a period when Germany was economically isolated and politically humiliated following the Ruhr occupation. These notes functioned as event scrip rather than genuine emergency currency.

H.M. Hauschild was a well-regarded Bremen printer and publisher with a long regional history. The DeNG reference places this among the collectible Serienscheine issues — produced as much for the collector trade as for any transactional purpose.
