正面描述 The left panel carries the municipal coat of arms of Gangelt — a black rampant lion on a yellow shield with a crossed sword, set against a blue guilloche underprint with the numeral '75' in large format below. The right panel, printed on a salmon-orange ground, bears the denomination in Gothic blackletter script reading 'Fünfundsiebzig Pfennig' in two lines, with the issuing text and date 'Gangelt, den 21. August 1921' in roman type below, flanked by the mayor's manuscript signature at lower right. The municipality name 'Gangelt' appears in large ornate Gothic lettering across the upper blue band.

备注

Gangelt is a small municipality in the Selfkant district of what was then disputed German-Belgian borderland — territory that would be administered by Belgium under League of Nations mandate from 1919 until 1935. The political instability of that occupation period, combined with the Reichsbank's inability to supply adequate small change during the postwar inflation spiral, drove hundreds of German municipalities to issue their own Notgeld. Gangelt's 75 Pfennig note is one product of that necessity.

The 75 Pfennig denomination itself is a minor oddity — an awkward value that appeared frequently in Notgeld series designed to be collected rather than spent, a practice common by 1921 as municipalities increasingly exploited collector demand to generate revenue.
