Neidenburg — now Nidzica in northeastern Poland — issued this Notgeld during the same year the town voted in the contested East Prussia plebiscite of July 1920, where an overwhelming majority chose to remain with Germany rather than join the newly constituted Polish state. Whether that political moment influenced the imagery selected for the local scrip is an open question, but the timing was hardly incidental.

Flemming & Wiskott in Glogau were among the more prolific Notgeld printers of the period, handling municipal commissions from across Silesia and beyond. The .2 suffix in the reference indicates a variant within the 932 type — likely a color or text difference from the base issue.
