| Descrizione del rovescio | Dark-ground note in black, red, and gold with bold denomination numerals '75' and 'PF.' in the upper left and right corners against the black border. The central vignette, presented within a large arched frame, renders a coloured lithographic landscape of Marianen-Insel Pagan, a former German colonial Pacific island, with palm trees in the foreground, a coastal settlement, volcanic headland, and sea. Flanking the arch, white palm tree vignettes decorate the side panels, and a lower text banner carries a patriotic verse attributed to Th. Körner. |

Neustadt in Mecklenburg issued this Notgeld note in 1922, well into the inflationary spiral that was already making small-denomination emergency currency an administrative headache for local authorities across Germany. By this point, the Reichsbank's inability to supply adequate coinage had pushed the burden of liquidity onto district councils, municipal bodies, and even private firms — the Amtsausschuss here being the district committee, a rural administrative tier rather than a town council proper.
The designer credit "Heinberg" is not uncommon in Mecklenburg Notgeld of this period, though documentation on the individual remains thin. Whether the work was commissioned locally or through a regional printing broker is unclear from the note itself.
