| 表面の説明 | The obverse is printed in olive-green, red, and cream tones, with the denomination numeral '75' in large white figures flanking a central vignette of the Buttstädt municipal coat of arms — a red shield bearing a winged angelic figure holding a sword and scales of justice, supported by heraldic lions and a fleur-de-lis base, with the year '1637' inscribed within the shield. The heading reads 'Notgeld der Stadt Buttstädt' in Gothic blackletter script across the top, while the lower portion, rendered as a scroll, carries the validity clause and two facsimile signatures above the printed designations 'Der Gemeindevorstand' and 'Der Gemeinderat'. The printer's imprint 'AUG. HEINECKE, RUDOLSTADT' appears in small type at the lower left margin. |

Buttstädt is a small market town in the Weimar district of Thuringia, and this 75 Pfennig note is a product of the Kleingeldersatz crisis of 1921, when German municipal and commercial issuers flooded the market with emergency fractional currency to compensate for the near-total disappearance of coins from circulation. Aug. Heinecke of Rudolstadt was a regional printer that handled numerous Thuringian Notgeld commissions during this period — competent work, nothing experimental.
The 75 Pfennig denomination is among the more common Buttstädt values, issued alongside 25 and 50 Pfennig notes in the same series.
