| 备注 |
Kahla, a small Thuringian town best known for its porcelain manufacturing, issued this note during the Notgeld inflation wave that swept German municipalities in 1921. Local authorities resorted to self-printed emergency currency not out of administrative initiative but out of necessity — the Reichsbank simply could not supply sufficient small-denomination coinage to meet everyday commercial demand. J. P. Himmer in Augsburg was a reliable choice for such work, handling municipal Notgeld commissions from across southern and central Germany during this period.
The dual signatures — Meßthorn and Hofmann — reflect the standard countersignature arrangement required to give these locally issued notes at least a procedural veneer of institutional authority.
