背面描述 The reverse shares the same geometric border and corner denomination panels as the obverse, with matching circular rosette devices in red and white at the lateral midpoints. The central vignette presents a hand-drawn illustration of a medieval stone tower — likely the Pulverturm or a comparable Hamelin landmark — surrounded by foliage and rendered in an expressive woodcut-influenced style in green, brown, and black. No inscriptions appear in the central field, leaving the architectural scene as the sole pictorial element.

备注

Hamelin's Notgeld program leaned heavily on the Pied Piper legend — commercially shrewd, given that the city had been marketing the story to tourists since the late 19th century. By 1921, German municipalities had near-total freedom to design their own emergency scrip, and Hamelin's issues became among the most collectible of the Notgeld era, deliberately printed in sets to encourage hoarding rather than spending.

Appelhans in Braunschweig produced a substantial volume of municipal Notgeld for Lower Saxony towns during this period. The single Jürgens signature reflects the stripped-down authorization typical of late-phase 1921 issues, as inflation was accelerating and bureaucratic formality on small-denomination scrip was already fraying.
