Obverse description The obverse is dominated by a bold black silhouette vignette at centre, showing three figures engaged at a public fountain — a woman drawing water, a man carrying buckets, and a cart to the left — rendered in a stark Expressionist woodcut style. The denomination '75' appears in large numerals at lower left alongside a decorative 'Pf.' cartouche at lower right, with the date 'Den 10. Nov. 1921' and place name 'Paderborn' printed above the vignette. A four-line verse in Westphalian dialect occupies the lower centre panel, and the border carries the text of the promise-to-pay obligation in letterpress around all four sides.
Obverse lettering FÜNFUNDSIEBZIG PF.

Reverse description The reverse is divided into three vertical panels: the left and right panels each carry the denomination '75 Pf.' set within elaborate Art Nouveau foliate ornamental frames, while the wide central panel presents a finely detailed pen-and-ink style vignette of a narrow historic alleyway in Paderborn known as the Rothoborn, with half-timbered buildings and lush overhanging foliage rendered in a graphic woodcut manner. The inscriptions 'ROTHOBORN' and 'PADERBORN' appear at lower left and lower right respectively, and the artist's signature 'P. Michels' is visible at lower left beneath the central vignette.
