The denomination numeral '75' appears in large white figures at left and right within the dark side panels, with 'PFENNIG' at top and bottom corners. The central panel carries the payment text in Gothic blackletter script, dated 'den 15. Osterfeld was a small industrial town in the northern Ruhr, absorbed into Oberhausen in 1929 — which makes this Notgeld a document of a municipality that no longer exists. The 75 Pfennig denomination was common in the 1921 Westphalian series, issued to plug the chronic small-change shortage that afflicted German commerce throughout the early Weimar inflation years.
Gebrüder Jänecke in Hannover handled a large volume of municipal Notgeld commissions during this period, and the quality of their lithographic work is consistently above average for the genre. The design credit to Josef Dominicus of Paderborn is a relatively traceable attribution — Dominicus was active as a commercial artist in Westphalia during this period, though he worked across multiple issuing authorities.
