| Description de l’avers | Central vignette of the municipal coat of arms of Nöschenrode — a horizontally striped red and white shield surmounted by a red crenellated tower — set within an elaborate surround of scrolling acanthus foliage rendered in red and grey-blue. Denomination numerals '75' occupy circular cartouches at each corner, while ribbon banderoles flanking the shield carry the issuing authority name and date. The upper margin bears the redemption notice and the lower margin carries the place, date, and facsimile signatures of the issuing officials. |

Nöschenrode was a small commune that was incorporated into Wernigerode in 1922 — this note was issued just one year before that absorption, making the Gemeindekasse Nöschenrode's independent issuing existence extremely brief. The 1921 German Kleingeldscheine wave prompted thousands of municipalities to print their own emergency fractional currency, and Nöschenrode was no exception, though it used local infrastructure throughout: both the printer and the cliché manufacturer were Wernigerode firms.
Marie Alde's designer credit is an uncommon detail for Notgeld of this type. The signatures are those of the Schulze and the Schöffe — the village headman and a lay magistrate — reflecting the administrative structure of a commune that would cease to exist within months of this note's printing.
