Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse carries a central intaglio-style vignette by artist W. Johansen, showing a rural landscape with bare deciduous trees lining a stream, thatched farm buildings in the middle ground, and a reflective waterway in the foreground, all rendered in fine line work over a salmon-orange tint underprint. The denomination 'PFENNIG' is inscribed across the top in bold block lettering, flanked by the numerals '75' in decorative cartouches at upper left and right. Two heraldic shields occupy the lower corners — a jagged-star device at lower left and a castle gate at lower right — with the issuer legend 'Stadt Oldenburg in Holstein' in bold serif type across the bottom panel.

Opmerkingen

Oldenburg in Holstein was one of hundreds of German municipalities that issued Notgeld during the postwar currency chaos, but this 75 Pfennig denomination is slightly unusual — the 75 Pfennig value appeared far less frequently than the ubiquitous 25 and 50 Pfennig pieces that dominated small-town emergency issues of 1921. Printed locally by C. Fränckel Nchfg. C. Will, a regional firm rather than one of the major Notgeld printers such as Giesecke & Devrient or Enschedé, production quality varies noticeably across surviving examples.

Designer W. Johansen is otherwise unattested in major Notgeld reference literature.
