Husby sits in Schleswig, the contested border region between Germany and Denmark that had only just been partitioned by plebiscite in 1921 — the same year this note was issued. The timing is not coincidental. The partition disrupted local trade networks and created immediate small-change shortages in communities on both sides of the new line, driving hundreds of municipalities to print their own Notgeld.

This 75 Pfennig denomination is an odd value, neither a quarter nor a half mark, which suggests it was calibrated to a specific local pricing need rather than issued as part of a tidy denominational set.
