| Obverse description | Light blue horizontally lined underprint with a dark ornamental border enclosing the note on all four sides; denomination numeral '75' appears in red at each corner within decorative cartouches. At centre top, the city arms of Lingen — two rampant lions supporting a crowned shield — is rendered as a colour vignette amid scrolling calligraphic ribbon ornaments. The large denomination legend '75 PFENNIG' is printed in bold dark-red letterpress across the centre, beneath which a Kurrent-script text block states the conditions of acceptance. At the foot, the date 'Lingen, den 1. Septbr. 1921' is flanked by the facsimile signatures of Der Magistrat (Gilles) and Das Bürgervorsteher-Kolleg. (Hänschen), with the banner 'GUTSCHEIN DER STADT LINGEN' repeated in top and bottom dark border bands. |
