| 表面の銘文 | 75 NOTGELD der Stadt ITZEHOE 75 Diese Anweisung verliert ihre Gültigkeit am 30. Sept. 1921 Die Einlösung erfolgt durch die Stadtsparkasse Itzehoe No. XXXXX |
| 裏面の説明 | A detailed black-and-white vignette occupies the centre of the note, showing a traditional half-timbered house entirely overgrown with ivy and climbing plants, set against a lightly decorated border in green tones with the denomination '75' in each corner. Multi-line Low German verse text surrounds the vignette above and to the sides, with an additional inscription below identifying a poetic dedication. The year '1916' appears within the central composition, and an attribution line runs along the lower margin. |

Itzehoe's 1921 notgeld series was part of the broader Serienscheine wave that swept German municipalities following the postwar coin shortage — but many of these issues were produced in quantities deliberately exceeding local need, printed as collectibles for the national hobby market rather than as functional emergency currency. W. Gente of Hamburg handled a substantial volume of northern German municipal notgeld during this period, often turning around small-town commissions quickly and cheaply.
The 649.4b designation within the DeNG corpus indicates a sub-variant, likely a color or paper shade difference from the primary type.
