| Opmerkingen |
Stolzenau was a small administrative district (Kreis) in the Hanover region, and like hundreds of similar bodies across Weimar Germany in 1921, its Kreisausschuss issued emergency Kleingeld to paper over the chronic coin shortage that persisted well after the war. August Scherl GmbH was primarily a Berlin publishing house — owner of the Berliner Lokal-Anzeiger among other titles — that turned its printing operations to Notgeld production during this period, a common wartime and postwar sideline for commercial printers with the right equipment.
The reference suffix variants (.2-6/7) suggest multiple design or date sub-types within this issue.
