| 背面描述 | The reverse is printed in warm ochre and black tones and again divided into three architectural vignette panels illustrating the interior of the Stiftskirche St. Cyriaki. The left panel shows the entrance to the penitents' chapel ('Eingang zur Bußkapelle'), the central panel presents a perspective view down the nave toward the high altar as seen from the baptismal font ('Hauptschiff mit Hochaltar vom Taufstein gesehen'), and the right panel depicts the sacristy ('Sakristei'). Two banderole cartouches in the upper field carry quotations: on the left a verse attributed to Hesse beginning 'Jeden Abend sollst du deinen Tag prüfen, ob er Gott gefallen mag', and on the right an aphorism attributed to Chotsky reading 'Menschen helfen, ist doch der einzige Gottesdienst den es gibt'. |
