| Descrizione del rovescio | Printed in matching dark brown and salmon-orange, the reverse is richly ornamented with a border of naturalistically rendered forest birds, each individually named in small lettering: KOHLMEISE, ROTKEHLCHEN, KREUZSCHNABEL, TANNENMEISE, PLATTMÖNCH, LAUBSÄNGER, GOLDHÄHNCHEN, NACHTIGALL, ZAUNKÖNIG and DROSSEL. A central rectangular vignette, signed 'H. HOLZHEY' at lower left, presents a half-figure of a traditional bird-catcher at a Vogelherd trap, with a panel inscribed 'IM VOGEL HERD'.
