Obverse description Green notgeld note with a wave-pattern guilloche underprint. A central vignette occupies the middle field, presenting the double-headed eagle heraldic emblem of Oldenburg in Holstein, rendered in dark brown letterpress, flanked by the denomination numeral '75' at both left and right. Two Low German dialect verses are inscribed in the upper panel, with a further couplet below the vignette; the denomination word 'Pfennig' appears in bold script between the heraldic device and the lower verse. The lower border panel carries the validity clause, place-date 'Oldenburg in Holstein, 15. Dez. 1920', the magistrate's manuscript signature, and the printer's imprint.

Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a finely executed colour vignette of St. Johann's Church in Oldenburg in Holstein, viewed through a tree-lined approach path, with the distinctive onion-domed tower rising against a pale green sky rendered in a pictorial lithographic style. The issuer's name 'Stadt Oldenburg in Holstein' is inscribed in a cartouche along the lower margin, above a decorative panel containing the denomination '75 Pfennig' in ornamental lettering. The artist's signature 'W. Johannsen' appears in the lower right corner of the vignette.
