Reverse description The reverse carries a finely engraved landscape vignette set within a plain border, with a panoramic view of the village of Steinbach am Ziehberg: a church spire and cluster of rural buildings occupy the foreground, wooded slopes and a mountain ridge rising behind under a clouded sky. Spruce branches with pine cones frame the vignette on both sides, while the denomination numeral '75' appears in circular cartouches at lower left and lower right. The heading 'Gemeinde Steinbach am Ziehberg' is set in decorative lettering across the top, and the printer's imprint 'J. Haase Linz' is visible at lower right within the design.

Comments

Steinbach am Ziehberg is a small rural commune in the Kirchdorf district of Upper Austria, and this note is a product of the acute coin shortage that paralyzed small-denomination transactions across Austria in the immediate postwar years. The Republic of Austria's new central institutions were in no position to supply adequate coinage, so hundreds of municipalities — many with populations under a thousand — printed their own Notgeld to keep local commerce moving.

J. Haase was a Linz-based printer responsible for a substantial number of Upper Austrian municipal issues during this period. The purple color variant distinguishes this from the other denominations in the Steinbach series.
