| Reverse description | The reverse features a faithful recreation of the design of the historic 1852 Adelaide Pound, struck within the gold centre insert. A detailed imperial St. Edward's Crown is depicted in high relief at the centre of the gold field, surrounded by a wavy decorative border with a beaded inner ring bearing the legend GOVERNMENT ASSAY OFFICE and ADELAIDE, with the date 1852 appearing in the exergue below the crown. The silver outer ring carries the bold inscription ADELAIDE POUND around the upper arc, the Perth Mint mintmark P at the lower centre, and the issue year 2020 along the lower arc, separated by ornamental rosette devices. |
