| 背面描述 | Facing bust of Antonio José de Sucre, turned slightly to the left, rendered in high relief with fine detail in his military uniform. The legend ANTONIO JOSE DE SUCRE arcs along the upper periphery. The commemorative dates 1830-1980, marking the 150th anniversary of his death, flank the portrait on either side in the field. |

Issued to mark the 150th anniversary of the death of Antonio José de Sucre, the Venezuelan-born marshal who secured independence across much of South America and served as the first president of Bolivia. Sucre was assassinated in June 1830 in the mountains near Berruecos, Colombia — a killing almost certainly ordered by political rivals, possibly including figures connected to Simón Bolívar's own fractured coalition.
The .900 silver composition places this firmly in Venezuela's commemorative tradition before the oil-revenue collapse and subsequent austerity gutted the country's capacity for precious-metal coinage.
