Obverse description Grey-green Notgeld voucher printed in letterpress, with ornate Art Nouveau scroll borders framing the central vignette. The central vignette presents a panoramic view of the town of Eferding with its church towers and rooftops set against a distant landscape, dated 1920 at lower left and bearing an artist's signature at lower right. Flanking figures in period costume — a young man at left and a blacksmith at right — stand within the decorative border; the denomination 'Fünfzig Heller' appears in large Gothic script at upper left and upper right, with the issuer inscription 'Gutschein der Stadt Eferding' in matching script along the lower margin. A Deutschösterreich 72-Heller Zeitungsmarke (newspaper stamp) is affixed at centre top and cancelled with a blue municipal circular cachet.

Reverse description Grey-green reverse in letterpress, sharing the same ornate border design with flanking historical figures — a peasant at left and an armoured pike-bearer at right — framing a central panoramic vignette captioned 'Eferding zur Zeit des Bauernkrieges' (Eferding at the time of the Peasants' War). The denomination numeral '50' appears in guilloche roundels at all four corners. Above and below the vignette, a two-part redemption text states the obligation of the Stadtgemeinde Eferding per council resolution of 24 November 1919 to redeem the note in lawful currency at the municipal treasury within four weeks of announcement, followed by the Bürgermeister's manuscript signature and an anti-counterfeiting warning; the printer's imprint 'Druck V. Langhammer, Linz' appears below the outer border.
Reverse lettering Die Stadtgemeinde Eferding haftet laut Gemeinderatsbeschluß vom 24.
