Obverse description The Portuguese royal arms displayed centrally on a crowned shield, quartered with the traditional castles and escutcheons of Portugal, set within a plain field. The shield is surmounted by a royal crown. A toothed or rope border encircles the entire design. No legend appears on this face, with the heraldic device serving as the sole decorative element. The hammered flan exhibits typical surface irregularities consistent with hand-struck colonial coinage of the period.

Reverse description The denomination '7 1/2' is displayed prominently in large numerals occupying the upper and central portion of the field, with the abbreviation 'R' (for Reis) positioned directly below. The figures are boldly engraved in a plain, functional style. A toothed border surrounds the entire reverse. No additional legends or mint marks are present. The overall design is stark and utilitarian, typical of low-denomination colonial copper coinage struck at the Goa Mint.
