| 表面の説明 | Crowned quartered shield of the Spanish Royal Arms, displaying the castles of Castile and lions of León in the principal quarters, with the pomegranate of Granada at the base point, struck in the macuquina (cob) style on an irregular flan. The mint mark and assayer initial appear to the left of the shield, with the denomination numeral partially visible in the field. The surrounding legend, largely off-flan as typical of cob coinage, reads a partial PHILIPPVS IV DEI GRATIA. The crowned shield is rendered in the bold, somewhat rough relief characteristic of mid-17th century Potosí cob production. |

| 裏面の説明 | Crowned globes-and-cross design (the Jerusalem cross) with the two hemispheres flanking a bold upright cross, all surmounted by a royal crown, as characteristic of Spanish colonial macuquina coinage of this period. The legend surrounding the design, partially visible on the irregular flan, reads a fragment of HISPANIARVM REX. Ornate foliate elements appear in the quadrants between the arms of the cross. The rampant lion is partially discernible in one quadrant, and a castle motif in another, consistent with the standard Potosí reverse type of the mid-17th century. |
