| Obverse description | This combined Kriegsnotgeld sheet comprises two attached notes separated by a perforated line: a larger 50 Mark cheque-style note on the right and a smaller 20 Mark coupon stub on the left. The 50 Mark portion bears a bold calligraphic inscription 'Stadt-Sparkasse Bielefeld' over a salmon-pink guilloche underprint, with the slogan 'Hilf in Kriegsnot: Zahle bargeldlos!' printed in red along the top border, a circular red wax-style seal of the Stadt-Sparkasse at upper right, and an official violet circular cancellation stamp at lower centre. The 20 Mark stub at left carries the denomination 'Zwanzig Mark' in bold gothic lettering, serial number, validity date '31. 12. 1918', and a matching violet official stamp, with vertical text 'Kriegsnotgeld Stadt Bielefeld' printed along the outer edge. |
