Obverse description Central field bears six large Chinese characters arranged in two vertical columns of three, reading 湖阜官 / 南南局 (Hunan Fu-Nan Monetary Bureau), rendered in bold relief. The characters are enclosed within a plain inner border and surrounded by an outer beaded border of uniformly spaced pellets running the full circumference of the coin. The overall design is austere and utilitarian, with no figurative devices, the legends occupying the entirety of the field.

Reverse description Central field displays six large Chinese characters arranged in two vertical columns of three, reading 省足柒 / 平紋錢 (Provincial Scale Fine Silver / 7 Qian), boldly struck in high relief. No additional devices or ornaments appear in the field, consistent with the purely administrative character of this bullion issue.
