| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of Emperor Rudolf II facing right, with a prominent large knot-shaped fold visible on the shoulder. The date 1611 appears in the field before the bust. The surrounding Latin legend is largely divided to the front of the effigy and enclosed within an inner beaded or leaf circle, consistent with the elaborate Habsburg imperial portraiture of the period. |

| Reverse description | Crowned, manifold Habsburg composite coat of arms featuring the shield of Upper Alsace as the central escutcheon, surrounded by the collar and pendant of the Order of the Golden Fleece, with the fleece rendered very small in characteristic style. The heraldic composition is surmounted by an imperial crown and the Latin legend encircles the arms, referencing the archducal and landgravial titles. |
