| Reverse description | Large, elaborately quartered coat of arms of the Bishopric of Brixen and the Habsburg territories, surmounted by a crowned helm with crest, occupying the central field. The multi-partite shield incorporates numerous heraldic devices referencing the bishop's combined secular and ecclesiastical dignities. The date A° 1614 appears to the left within the circular Latin legend, which runs along the milled border and identifies the issuer as Bishop of Brixen and Wrocław. The overall composition is densely detailed, characteristic of early seventeenth-century hammered gold multiple-ducat coinage. |
