Obverse description The Public Seal of Niue rendered in high relief at center, depicting a crowned heraldic shield encircled by an ornate beaded border with the legend PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE above and the mottoes ATUA and NIUE TUKULAGI below, flanked by two crossed traditional spears. Surrounding the central seal, seven wax-seal medallions are distributed across a dramatically textured rocky field, each bearing a different apocalyptic symbol: a cherub with wings, a bow and crown, a sword and horseshoe, scales of justice (inlaid in black resin), a sun with scratches, an eye with a teardrop, and a skull with crossed scythes. The issuer name NIUE and date 2026 appear to the left, the denomination 7 DOLLARS to the right, and the fineness mark Ag 999 is inscribed in the lower field.
