| Reverse description | The reverse features a highly detailed naturalistic depiction of Tchihatchewia isatidea, a rare endemic Turkish plant, rendered in high relief and occupying the majority of the oval field. The plant is shown in full bloom, with a dense, rounded floral head comprising numerous small clustered flowers and buds rising from a rosette of basal leaves. The legend 'ALLIGELiN' appears along the lower left border and 'Tchihatchewia isatidea' curves along the lower right border in italic lettering. The engraver's signature 'N. Yerlibucak' is inscribed in the lower field beneath the plant. |

| Additional information |
Issued as part of Turkey's late-period lira flora series, this coin honors Tchihatchewia isatidea, a monotypic genus endemic to central Anatolia and named for the Russian-German geographer Piotr Chikhachev, who extensively surveyed Anatolian geology and botany in the mid-19th century. The plant itself belongs to the Brassicaceae family and grows in a habitat range so restricted that the genus contains exactly one species.
The denomination reflects Turkey's inflation crisis of the late 1990s, which forced face values into the millions before the 2005 redenomination stripped six zeros from the currency entirely.
