| Obverse description | Within a square field with rounded corners, the Turkish crescent-and-star emblem appears at the top centre, flanked by the legend TURKİYE CUMHURİYETİ in two lines below it. The denomination 7.500.000 LİRA and the date 2001 are inscribed in the centre field in three lines. The mint mark of the Istanbul Mint is struck below the date. A decorative wreath composed of an olive branch on the right and a wheat ear on the left frames the lower portion of the field, with the tail feathers of a duck emerging from the lower left. |
