| Reverse description | A finely detailed botanical study of Linum anatolicum (Anatolian flax) occupies the central field, depicting multiple flowering stems with five-petalled blossoms in various stages of bloom, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished background. The engraver's signature 'N.EKŞİ' appears incuse at the lower centre of the composition. Along the lower arc of the oval flan, the inscription 'ANADOLU KETENİ Linum anatolicum' curves in two registers, giving both the Turkish vernacular name and the Latin binomial of the species. |
