The circular legend REPUBLIQUE D'HAITI runs along the periphery, flanked on either side by the wreath, with a beaded border encircling the entire design.

Copper fractional issues of this era circulated heavily in a cash-starved economy where hard money of any denomination was genuinely scarce. KM#29 is frequently encountered with significant corrosion, a direct consequence of Haiti's humid coastal environment and the low-quality copper alloys sourced during this period.
