| Obverse description | Central countermark applied in 1887 depicting the letters 'G.P.' surmounted by a royal crown, punched into the host coin's field. The countermark is clearly visible at center, surrounded by the radiating design elements of the underlying Brazilian 600 Réis host coin. The legends 'SIGNA NATA' and 'SVBO STAB.' are partially legible around the periphery of the host coin, arranged in a circular format typical of Portuguese colonial coinage. |
