Reverse description The reverse displays the host coin's original design, a Portuguese royal arms surmounted by an elaborate crown, with the regnal date '1754' inscribed at the base, consistent with a Brazilian 600 Réis piece struck during the reign of José I. Floral or rosette ornaments flank the crowned shield in the field. The reeded border of the host coin remains visible around the circumference, and the surface bears the characteristic patina and wear expected of a coin that has circulated for over a century prior to countermarking.
