Reverse description The reverse presents a frontal, icon-style portrait of two bearded monastic figures rendered in the Byzantine artistic tradition, occupying the majority of the coin's field. The figures, identified by Cyrillic inscriptions in the field as Saint Simeon (left) and Saint Sava (right), the co-founders of the Hilandar Monastery, are depicted with elongated faces, prominent eyes, and flowing beards characteristic of Serbian medieval iconography. A stylized triangular nimbus or architectural element appears between the two figures at the upper center. A spray of foliage issues from below the figures, framing the lower portion of the composition. The field is otherwise plain, with no peripheral legend, lending the design a solemn, devotional character.
