| 裏面の説明 | The reverse features two principal devices side by side in the field: at left, the traditional Thai Red Unalom (สภาอุณาโลมแดง) emblem rendered as an intricate geometric lattice design with a central yantra motif, and at right, the bold relief of the Red Cross symbol. A Thai script legend arcs along the upper border reading '100 Years of the Thai Red Cross Society'. Below the central devices, further Thai script legends identify both the former and current names of the organisation, the denomination of 600 Baht, the commemorative dates B.E. 2436–2536 (1893–1993), and the issuing country Thailand, arranged in horizontal lines across the lower field. |

The Thai Red Cross Society was founded in 1893 under Queen Saovabha, initially to provide medical support during a period of rapid modernization as Siam worked to forestall colonial encroachment by demonstrating institutional sophistication to European powers. The centennial issue in 1993 fell during the final decades of Bhumibol Adulyadej's reign, when commemorative silver programs of this type were produced in relatively modest numbers for collector markets rather than general circulation.
Y#281 is catalogued as a proof-only issue.
