Obverse description Conjoined draped busts of William and Mary facing left in high relief, with William's bust positioned behind and slightly subordinate to that of Mary in the foreground, both with flowing hair. The Latin legend encircles the effigies along the periphery, interrupted at the base where the mark of value '60' appears in the lower field. The portrait style is characteristic of late 17th-century Scottish milled coinage, rendered with considerable sculptural depth.
