| Obverse description | The State Emblem of India, the Lion Capital of Ashoka, is depicted at centre, showing three lions passant upon an abacus adorned with a Dharmachakra flanked by a horse and a bull in relief. The national motto in Devanagari script, 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate, 'Truth Alone Triumphs'), appears in the legend directly below the emblem.
