Reverse description Plain field bearing the large denomination numeral '60' in the upper portion, with the abbreviated denomination legend 'Reis' inscribed below in Roman characters. The design is stark and utilitarian, consistent with the hammered copper coinage of Portuguese India of this period. The flan is irregular in shape, typical of the hand-struck production technique employed at the Goa mint.
