This 60 Lur note was never legal tender in any jurisdiction — the Lur is a proposed Breton currency unit that has existed only in the aspirational literature of regionalist groups and in a handful of printed specimens like this one.
The denomination of 60 is itself a nod to Breton counting tradition, which historically used a base-60 (vigesimal) system — *tri-ugent* — rather than the decimal structures imposed through French administrative standardization.
