Additional information

George Louis ruled Erbach jointly with his brothers under the partition arrangements that fragmented the county through much of the seventeenth century. The 60 Kreuzer denomination — a relatively large silver piece — was common to southern German territories during this period as a practical multiple that bridged the gap between smaller everyday coinage and the full Reichstaler, though Erbach's output was always modest given the county's limited resources and tiny population base.

The Erb reference 26a designation suggests a die variant within the type, though documentation on Erbach coinage remains thin in most major references outside specialized German state literature.
