Marktgemeinde Hofgastein — a modest spa town in the Salzburg uplands — contracted Druckerei A. Wiesel in Salzburg for the print run, a local commercial firm that handled numerous similar municipal commissions across the province during this period.
The single authorizing signature is that of Bachbauer, almost certainly the Bürgermeister at the time. Designer Reisenbichler is otherwise unattested in major reference sources — likely a regional commercial artist rather than a specialist in currency work.
