| 备注 |
Austrian Notgeld from the early 1920s occupies an odd corner of monetary history — these municipal emergency issues were ostensibly practical instruments, but many Lower Austrian communities quickly recognized their collector appeal and printed accordingly. Haag am Hausruck is a small market town, and its Notgeld series, like many comparable issues, was likely printed in quantities that exceeded any genuine circulatory need.
The single signature of Josef Nagelstrasser, almost certainly the Bürgermeister at the time, authenticates each note under the legal framework Austria established for local authorities to issue fractional currency following the disruption of postwar coin supplies.
