| Reverse description | The reverse, printed in the same dark violet-brown, is divided into an upper and lower register within a geometric foliate border. The upper section contains two oval vignettes — a chamois on an Alpine rocky outcrop at left, and a still-life of a wine bottle with glasses at right — flanking two stanzas of verse attributed to R. Baumbach and Mayer respectively. The lower register bears a further four-line verse calling for the note to remain with collectors rather than circulate as currency, followed by the place and date 'Admont, Steiermark, im November 1920' and the three facsimile signatures of the issuing officials over their printed titles, above a fine Alpine mountain panorama vignette and a mandatory disclaimer notice at foot. |
