Obverse description The national emblem of the Lao People's Democratic Republic is depicted in the centre of the field, featuring the That Luang stupa flanked by decorative foliage and framed by a wreath of rice stalks tied at the base with a ribbon bearing an inscription in Lao script. A dotted inner border encircles the central device. The legend LAO PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC curves along the upper periphery, while the fineness mark AG 925, the denomination 60000 KIP, and the weight 31.1 appear in the lower field.

Reverse description A coloured reverse features a three-quarter portrait of a male figure dressed in a dark suit, rendered in relief against a vivid red enamel field. To the upper left of the portrait, a hammer and sickle symbol is prominently displayed. Flanking the lower portion of the portrait are two stylised Lao naga flame motifs in silver relief. A curved banner across the lower field bears the commemorative dates 22.03.1955-22.03.2015, marking the 60th anniversary of the subject.
